Music Studies

For many students, financial aid is necessary to make music studies affordable. State and federal financial programs exist for students who are United States citizens or permanent residents. To be eligible for state and federal financial aid, students must be able to demonstrate financial need as determined by subtracting the students Effective Family Contribution (EFC) from the cost of attending school. The cost of attendance includes tuition, fees, books, supplies, housing, and certain personal and transportation costs.

To apply for state and federal financial aid programs, simply call us at a music school and request a financial aid packet. Your packet will include detailed instructions and all the forms you need to apply for financial aid. Complete the application and return it to our financial aid office. You may be asked to provide certain documentation for use in determining your eligibility. If you are eligible, you should receive your award notification about six to ten weeks after we receive your financial aid application, provided you have been accepted into your chosen program. Please keep in mind that this time frame is affected by the time of year you apply and may vary.

It is crucial that your financial aid packet is returned in a timely manner and completed with extreme attention to detail. Incomplete applications can severely delay this complex process. We recommend you apply for financial aid at least three months prior to the start of classes to ensure enough time to receive an award to help cover the cost of tuition.

At music school, we want to ensure that no talented musician is excluded from receiving a quality musical education, based solely on a lack of funding. In an attempt to meet the needs of our students, we offer three private scholarship programs.
