a music school is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. We are licensed to operate in the State of California by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education. Our mission is to thoroughly train and educate tomorrow’s professional musicians, performers, lyricists, managers, producers, and engineers. To this end, we apply a selective admissions process to ensure the continued development of a student body that has the commitment, aptitude, and talent to succeed in our programs.
Admission to our school is competitive and many factors are considered, including a written application, audition or written test, and prior musical experience. Additional requirements vary depending upon the chosen course of study. Individual applicants are reviewed and assessed according to past experiences and achievements, aptitude, and growth potential. The applicant’s passion, drive, and commitment to his or her music career goals are a vital consideration as well.
To apply for one of our certificate programs, applicants are required to mail in a completed application form, application fee, and proof of a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Many of our programs require the submission of an original audio recording as well. Details concerning this requirement can be found on our application form.
Admission to our degree program requires the completed application and fee, proof of high school diploma or GED, ear training and theory test and a video demonstration. Additional requirements include a 250-word essay describing your reasons for choosing our music school, two letters of recommendation from previous instructors (one for music and one for academics) and SAT or ACT scores.
