All Your Ears Can Hear: Underground Music in Victoria, BC, 1978-1984 is a professionally printed 80 page soft-cover book packaged with 2 CD’s containing 79 songs by 46 bands (over two and a half hours of music). The first press is limited to 1000 copies.
The book features one full page for each artist featured on the CD’s and has hundreds of rare and never before seen photos, gig posters, record covers, etc. The CD’s contain many unreleased and never before heard songs, such as two unreleased Nomeansno songs (1979 & 1982) plus their related groups: Infamous Scientists, Beaten Retards, Dioxyn, Harvest of Seaweed, and Mass Appeal. It also features the Neos plus their related groups: Fake Dogs, Sludge Confrontations, Nematodes, Harvest of Seaweed, Jerk Ward…also the Dayglow Abortions plus their earlier group the Sickfucks…also Red Tide plus their related groups: Censored Chaos, Suburban Menace, Nuclear Errors, and Divine Right…and many more. All Your Ears Can Hear (aka AYECH), is also the name of a 1981 song by the Infamous Scientists, and the name of our non-profit collective, which worked for 6 years to complete the project. The core of the collective is Jason Flower, Ricky Long, and Kev Smith. Todd Eacratt is the graphic artist. Marcus Pollard does media promotion and sales. Larry Petersen is our web master. We’ve officially launched the book and CD package on July 28th in Victoria with great success.
